Evening All

ok so i can here it now 2 days on the trot!!! but this is just another project we made at my last work shop.

This is a canvas of my youngest son George.

The canvas is painted with the eco paints and i have stamped directly on the canvas!!

you have to be careful because the canvas in not sold some of the image will not always print but with the wording that the affect i was going for then i just wipped my perfect medium around the edge and embossed with gold embossing powder.

i have made the heart from air drying clay ans stamped it with the word and a swirl stamp when it is still wet to give it texture.

the flower is made from old dictionary pages various different sizes screwed up and spirits with mica powders to give them a iridescence.

i found a poem about a boy that fitted George perfectly and filled a small glass bottle with beads to add another element.

It's Been a While

Well what can i say it's been a while and when you have every intention to update regularly 10 months just don't cut it!!! all i can say is i will try better!! so what have i been up to in 10 months?

were do i start!! i have been busy with work, kids and family in general my dad has been really poorly but he is on the mend now!! have been on a diet and although it seem silly but it takes up loads of my time i have lost 5 stone and half a pound and still going!!

But back to the crafting i am still running my monthly craft group so i have some photos of the last project we made. in my last post i said that i had a bit of a obsession with MDF but its still going strong!!! i had loads cut in 6x6 pieces for a workshop but it never happened so what do you do with 100 plus bits of MDF!! so with a little bit o gigery pokeary this is what i came up with!!!!

OK so above is my sample i made no wood work skills needed just some pva glue and our box was ready to decorate!!

i have use the mini swirls and the vintage heart stamp sets!! and a few i had in my kit, i have also used some of the eco paints stormy and mushroom all available from Parti Craft.

the feet are just a bracelet from primark taken apart and secured to the bottom of the box.

so once i made this one i was hooked and had a few orders so here is the next one!!

Wednesdays Work shop!!

Hey all just a short post i have a work shop on Wednesday, we are making a small plaque with a paper rose. i think i have a obsession with MDF!!!

but these wall plaques are so nice to make and look really lovely when they are finished they make great gifts!!!

here is the finished plaque i have made a paper rose and embossed the edges with cosmic shimmer gold. with a butterfly from primark it was a necklace.

the next card is one i made for my very good friend it was her birthday last weekend, it is the first easel card i have made and it came out really good, i have used a whiff of joy stamp click on the link on my side bar and have a look at hat they have to offer!!

Just Time!!

Good Morning all hope you are all feeling great on this Friday morning, just time for a quick post here are 3 cards i have mad for orders,
2 of them have my new whiff of joy stamps "willow with hot chocolate" and the lovely little elephant i have forgotten his name.

and the 3rd card is from a Debbie Moore CD i have my friend at work really likes these Lady's.

Next Work Shop!!

Hey all, so i thought i would post what i have planned for my net work shop, it is a wall hanging with a picture or poem on, i chose a picture of my boys with a saying under neath.

the project is on a 12 x 12 piece of MDF. i have painted it with a tester pot of blue paint and added some cosmic shimmer paint to it, i have also sanded at parts of the base coat to add a distressed/old look.

once the the Base was ready i stamped a swirl pattern on it from the Mini Swirl plate from Particraft, with faded jean distress ink.

i then stamped some thistle images in faded jean and black archival. the i distressed around the edge in broken china & Faded Jean distress ink & added a moth stamp to the top of the board.

I then made 3 paper rose 's pop over to Maria's blog for a great easy to follow tutorial of how to make them!

the next image is another board i have decorated but have not yet chosen a image to put on it but i have decorated it in the same way but have used the new wild flowers from Particraft.

i would love to know what you think.

Just time for a Quick post

Ok So time for a quick post before i have to leave for work, yesterday we went to a Friends wedding. i made their menu's (there is a picture on my last post) any way so as i used my MS butterfly on them i thought i would keep the theme going on their card and i also made a matching candle.

i used my new stamp from Lilly of the Valley it so lovely i think i could use this over and over again.

i have used the same image on my candle and put the bride & grooms names and wedding date on it i have also put a pearl swirl either side of the wording,once the candle was done i made a box for it i left it quite plain just putting 2 butterflies on it with gems.

Could Possibly Be.......

The longest post !! i have not found the time to post since January that's really bad i know! i have had so many things to do so where to start!! I have had a few workshops and 3 wedding orders & Ally pally first here are some of the wedding stationary i have done there is a table plan, place cards with a menu on the back and wedding invites.

ok so now to my work shops i have photo's from 3 of them to share with you . so in February we made treasure boxes only a few people managed to attend but we still had fun!!

in March we decorated candles and tubes and had a great turn out we had 14 people attend and had some really good projects!1 some of the lady's who attended have never crafted before so it's a real achievement for them to be able to create something like this have a look at the photo to see for your self!!

so for the most resent work shop (last weekend) we made a draw set out of card and patterned paper and again only a few managed to attend but had some really great finished project!! considering each person had the same kit to start with the finished projects all different!!

so hopefully your still with me and not nodded off yet!! the last bit of new to update you on is ally pally it was 2 weekends ago and we had a blast!! i was demoing UTE (ultra thick embossing powder) i was a bit nervous but by the end of the weekend i did not want to stop. i never quite realised what a great feeling it was for people to watch and enjoy what your demoing and by the last day we had nearly sold out!! below is a picture of some of the samples i made and my favorite ones.

My My!!

Well i have been busy i have been on the hunt for new projects for my workshop today, i have been buying ribbons and flowers and other things to be altered and you will see them soon.
But for the moment i have a new workshop project to show you and a great card even if i do say so my self!!

This is another image from Karens Doodles i first saw this image over a another blog mummylade when i was doing a bit of blog hopping!! please pop over the both the mentioned blogs for a look.

ok so now i have been looking for inspiration for my workshops so that i can show new techniques and new projects. well i came across a blog called Janes Lovely Cards and saw she had done a Candle and gift tube project which is superb please pop over to her blog for some inspiration but i have had my first attempt at decorating a candle!! hope you like it.

I have used a stamp from Whiff of Joy and coloured it with my whisper pens again using some flowers and gems from my stash.

Thats my Boy!!

Well i have been good I'm posting again!! i have 2 cards to show you, the first is the little snip it you can see above, i was blog hopping the other day and came across a blog called Karen's Doodles when i saw this image it made me think of my little boy George.

he has a wonderful character and makes us all laugh, so it's he 2ND birthday next month so i thought i would get the image for his card, so here is the finished card!

so the next card is from the jungle stamp set from parti craft if you was up early on Sunday you would have seen Sue Wilson Demonstrating them!! and how fantastic she was.

so here is my first play with the stamps someone asked me to make them a card this is what i come up with!!

just a little bit!!!

OK so Christmas has been and gone it seems to just fly bye!! it must be as i have got older when i was small it seemed to last forever!!

The snow has gone but i am still struggling to find time to craft firstly because my craft room was our garage and has been converted and although it is insulated it still is sooooo cold out there and just the warmth of in doors makes me want to stay in there all the more!!!

So before Christmas i did my first work shop and it went really well. as you can see from the photo's below!!

We made a 5 x 5 mini scrap book and the finished project were great.

Ok so this Saturday 16th January is my next work shop we are making a notelet set with 4 matching cards all in black & white, i will post some pictures of the finished project and pictures from the workshop on Saturday.

well that's pretty much it for now but i just wanted to show you a card i managed to make once all the kits were made for Saturdays work shop.

This is a stamp from Wiff of joy i brought i last September but has only just got around to using it. there is a link on the side bar so go have a look at there great stamps.

A little Charm

Right well it has been 4 weeks since i last posted (really sorry) but i have been arranging things and making things,

so my first thing is that i will now be running a all day work shop once a month in a local hall, i have worked on 20 people and have 10 people booked so far to it heading in the right direction we will be making a scrapbook in the first workshop on 28Th November so pop by for updates and pictures,

i have also been doing some parties/Demos which have worked out well, i have another make and take party planned for 20Th November so we are doing a gift bag and box all matching for Christmas but we are also making some wine glass charms

what i've been upto!!

Ok so we have just had Ally Pally and it went really well, pop over to the parti craft blog the link is on my side bar or click on the image to become a follower and you could be in for a chance to win some great blog candy!!!

right so at the weekend i attended a training day for Parti craft demonstrators it so good to learn new things it amazes me that you learn new things every day!

Sue had 7 project to show us as well as feed us up with her fantastic cookies that she makes.

so here is one of the technique's we was shown:

this card is made using acetate, Alcohol Inks & diamond glaze, to create the background.

and stamped with black archival ink. we used the new stamps from parti craft there are 3 stamp plates in the Autumn leaves have a look over at the parti craft web site.

so here is one i done at home with a range of blue & green alcohol inks and a peacock feather stamps in large and small, and for the embellishment i stamped out the large feather on shrink plastic and decorated it with small gems.

been a while!!!

OK so it's been while, i have had so much to do in the last too months feels like i have been in a whirl wind, my best Friends got married in Cyprus which was lovely then when we got back she had a party so we had to get ready for that

i then too my boys away before the eldest went back to school so off to the isle of wight we went weather was ok but no comparison to the first holiday!!!.

and then i have wedding invitations to make and card orders to fulfill, as well as making samples for the up and coming Big Stamp show at ally pally so as i say so much to do and enough hours in a day.

any way back to crafting!! one of my latest purchases was the New Cupcake stamp plate from particraft

i had a card order for a lady who loved chocolate and had been brought a red letter day of a chocolate experience making chocolates.

so i thought of the small cake stamp with the cherry on looked a bit like a chocolate so this is what i come up with my aim was to make it look like a box of chocolates!!!

well i think it worked the person who ordered it was really pleased.

Summer Colours!!!

ok so here is another one, on my last post is mentioned about lots of different colour and patterned papers on 1 card, last time i did a cow girl card with a range of papers that all went together, but on this card i had a piece of ribbon that i have wanted to use for a while now but was not sure!! but i have used orange and green as the base clolours and the patterned papers are digital downloads from Pink Petticoat and the image is from Charmed Cards and Crafts

I have coloured the image with Whisper pens and distressed around the edge with walnut distress in,

please let me know what you think and if the ribbon works with the other colours i have chosen i would really like to hear you comments

it's been a while

Hi everyone sorry i have not been around for a while it's been a bit manic around here what with school holidays and my best friends wedding fast approaching we have 9 weeks but as i keep telling her that it will fly by.
so back to crafting first i was again very honoured to receive 2 awards and they are:

so now for the crafting so every were i look at the moment the in thing is to use lots of different papers of different sizes and patters on 1 card!! and i seem to struggle with this as every time i do something around this style it seems unfinished.

but i had another go with my papers from Sweet shoppe designs and my little lovin's stamp this is my finished project.

my image is coloured with my whisper pens and stamped with walnut distress ink with the papers distressed around the edge.

Ok so there is no more excuses i am just pants at keeping this up to date, i do try but with everything else i loose track of time.

So yesterday i had a whole day of training up at Particraft HQ and what fun was had by all, it was great to meet up with all the demonstrators that was there, we learnt some great new techniques and come home with some superb samples.

so i have a few quick cards to show you theses are my new images

OK So how lucky am i not only did i get 2 awards for mt blog witch in it's self if fantastic as i don't get to update it as much as i would like.

so here is award number 1.

It makes me all warm inside to think i make other people smile!!!

So i have fullen back to my bad ways of not updating my blog on a regular basis but i do have a valled reason i have been working really hard!!! first i had to have a week off work to look after the kids on school holidays and then was prepairing for Ally Pally "The Big Stamp and Scrapbook Show" Maria, Michelle Lynne and myself (dad inclueded) had great fun setting up on friday night ready for the doors to open bright and early on Satuday the Four muskeeters (and Dad) was then joined by Becki and Alan on Saturday and John Victoria, Jo & Tracey on Sunday and great fun was had by all and that was just the Parti Craft Demonstrators!!! we meet some great people who are instreated in our knowlage and ideas so here's hoping a few partys are heading our way.

so after all the preperation for Ally Pally i thought i would share my Mini Scrapbook with you Step by step as requested by Maria!!!!

Mini Scrapbook

What you Need:
12 x 12 Double sided Scrapbook paper, Ribbons, Brads, Flowers, Photo’s , Distress inks & cut and dry foam, Black Archival Ink ( if stamping) Glue or double sided tape

Instructions

Step 1) Trim your 12 x 12 paper to 30cm x 30cm Square.

Measure across 10 cm score a line from the top to the bottom of the page, Repeat twice dividing the page into 3 equal columns.Turn the page so the scored line run across and repeat, creating 9 equal squares of 10cm x 10cm.

Step 2) Then cut up on the first score line 2 squares (20cm),

Then cut down the second score line 2 squares (20cm)

Step 3) Turn the paper so patterned side down then fold 1st square down towards you then fold the 2nd square down away from you then fold the 3rd square across to the right then continue following the score lines till you have a concertina booklet of 10cm squares.
See Images below at each stage of folding,

Step 4) On the 3rd and 4th squares glue the right hand edge and bottom edge sticking them together creating a pocket. Then repeat on the 6th and 7th squares glueing the left hand edge and top edge together creating another pocket.

Step 5) On the back page of the book make a cut at 4cm and 6cm cut down the page to insert ribbon (size of cut is your choice depending on ribbon width) to creat a fastening to keep the scrapbook sealed ,Basis of the book is now complete embellish to your choice.

So now i have started making the Paper rose's i love them when ever i am sitting watching tv i have my flowers at hand to make a few.

so just a quick post today as i am just finishing off some more wedding invites and making up some packs for The Big stamp scrapbooking show at Alexander Place on April 18th and 19th we have a stand for Parti Craft and will be holding make and takes both Saturday and Sunday so if your going drop by to get creative.

today's card is another image from Charmed Cards and backing papers from Pink petticoat called pretty doodles. with this card i wanted to give the affect that she was in a mirror

(hope it worked) so cut out a frame with my craft robo and of course added a paper rose just to add the finishing touch.

Bad Blogger!!!!

So it's been a few weeks since i have posted bad Lynsay!! I have been doing stuff but in between working and looking after my boys!

but when i did get around to entering into blog land i found i had received a award from Maria.

Ok so 2 of my chosen one's have already had this award but they both give me inspiration make me laugh and are on hand for support when needed.

As for Susie, Adele and Katharina i enjoy to catch up with your blogs and read about not only what you have been making but your everyday lives.

ok so now for what i have managed to make!! over on Maria's blog she posted a detailed tutorial of how to make a rose so please pop over and check it out so on Friday night i thought i would have a go you need 3 punched 6 petal flowers but i am luck to have a craft robo so i cut out enough to make a stash of rose's. i was really please with my first attempt.

On Maria's Tutorial she uses some stickles, witch i did not have but i did have some spray glue and with my cosmic shimmer Aurora glitter hey presto!!! and for the main feature of my card another 2 of my WOJ stamps (I got the idea to use these 2 stamps together from Katharina) i stamped the image straight on to the backing paper i used the once upon a time paper. and coloured her with my whisper pens with highlights from my white gelly roll pen.

I have also stuck a coloured gem in the middle of the flowers. i am really pleased with how she has turned out hope you like her too!!!

I started this weekend off by going to meet up with another Parti Craft demonstrator Lynne at her craft group. it's so good to meet up and catch up on things and stamp new images that we have both brought, so i spend most of the day with Lynne and her craft group and this is what i made there using one of Lynne's stamps

This stamp is from Funky kits and is a Elizabeth Bell Design i stamped her out with coffee Archival Ink and coloured with Whisper Pens..

This is not the best of photo's but you get the idea.

Boost!!!

Right so i was feeling a bit down after my craft stall didn't go so well, so a very lovely lady ( you know who you are!!!) sent me a email to give me a boost and when i opened it i found something very nice in deed and this is what i have made:This card was made with a down load image from http://www.charmedcardsandcrafts.co.uk/ and the papers are from Pink Petticoat pretty doodle range i coloured the image with whisper pens i then added some gems for a bit of sparkle.

New Stamps!!!

A few post's back i told you how much i was loving my stamps from WOJ well i could not help myself so i brought some more this time from the Medieval Collection.

This is The King's Jester Charlie

I have coloured Charlie with blendable colouring pencils and used Faded Jeans Distress ink around the edge with cut and dry foam. I have used Fancy Pants paper, and some paper from a once upon a time collection that i had in my stash. i had forgot i brought it but found it the other day when i was looking for something else. this card is for my dads Birthday i know you would not normally put flowers on a man's card but i thought it finished it off nicely (plus if you know or have met my dad i can get away with the flower thing!!)

This is another card made using The Kings Jester Charlie using more from the once upon a time collection and matching ribbon.

So i was off work today and took my little one to have his first shoe fitting and wondered into my local Range and found some new cute stamps so watch this space and i will let you see my creations.

The other day i was awarded 2 awards by Lynne another party craft demonstrator but most of all i would consider her a very good Friend we met through Parti Craft but have become great Friends.

So to the Awards:

Well that's easy Barry you are the greatest thing in my life other than our 2 beautiful boys and i will love you always.

Well it's been such a busy weekend for valentines day i was bridesmaid for my cousin so was away for the weekend and then i had a card order for a Friend at work i will show you the card shortly.

And this week is the school holidays had the week off but not much time for crafting with 2 little monsters at home all day and then to top it all off it is My son Georges 1st Birthday so, so much to do but only 24 hours in a day.

Every one seem to want photo's on their cards at the moment this is a wedding anniversary card with a photo of the church were they got married 40 years ago. he was very please with it.

I am just hoping to be able to get some crafting done this weekend after the 1st birthday party!!!

Yipee i made some cards

Well this week started with a nice dusting of snow and we had a snow day no school for miles and no work for me and as for George he is too small to know any better but he did like the snow!!!

so we built snow man. " i would show you a photo but can't seem to upload it".

so onto the crafting although i only got 1 day off work and i had the boys i got a small amount of card making done. but also done some Internet shopping and ordered 2 new stamps from

Whiff of Joy Stamps. i have brought a few stamps from them now i first looked at their stamps when visiting another Parti Craft Demonstrators blog Maria. she has a link so then i was hooked, so when i was visiting Maria's blog this week she had posted a new card and she had used a stamp call Lizzie with Muff from Whiff of Joy Stamps and that's the one i had ordered on my snow day so was looking forward to getting my in the post but the post was delayed due to snow!! but i did receive them yesterday when i say them i also ordered Henry Celebrating Mouse. so here are what i have done so far.

see the problem i have is that at the moment my craft room is too cold so i have moved a lot of my craft stuff into the living room!! so after i made the 2 cards above i need to make more so with a stamp i brought from Funky kits.

And sorry this post is so long but i have had fun making cards for the last 2 days so i thought i would share some with you,

A Golden Age

A Friend at work asked me to make her a card for her Mum & Dads 50Th Wedding anniversary and she wanted a photo of them on their wedding day on it.

so with the criteria of golden wedding, photo and simple style not too fancy.

and this is what i came up with,

sorry not the greatest photo, i have embossed the card blank with a diamond pattern and glued a gem on the cross over on each diamond, then i copied the picture i was given and layered it onto cream card and white card, then added the finishing touches i was quite please if i do say so my self.

Well Happy New year to you all, there is no excuse but have what it seems no time for anything all i seem to do is work lately and don't have much time to get creative, i have made a set of wedding invites in the time i have been in my craft room and will post some pictures soon.
as i am just about to start some more for my best friend who is getting married in august in Cyprus ( not only do i get to go to Cyprus i am bridesmaid too!! soooo excited) i am also bridesmaid on 14Th February that's who the other set of invites were for. see too busy to craft that's not a good thing i like nothing more than being in my craft room making things, but i have made a new year resolution that i will make a hand made card for everyone this year and not buy any yes i do buy card even though i can make them!!! but at the moment the new years resolution is still going and here is a photo of a card i made for my mum it was here birthday on 20Th January

Hi Everyone sorry i have not been updating as much as i would like but work & children seem to take up all my time at the moment.

A few post ago i said i had been doing some secret crafting and here it is, this is the project i made for the August addition of the Particraft Magazine if you haven't already subsribed (why not).

there is a link to the particraft web site click on that and you can subscribe. i wanted to make a calendar with a diffrence so after some though this is what i came up with (after bouncing some ideas of my Dad and Partner) it always help's to get someone else's appinyon. so if you would like to get full direction on how to make this it is in the august Particarft magazine. so we are now at the weekend and between washing and house work i have wedding invites to do.

once i get round to some more creativity i will up date the bogg i may even get around to so some scrapbooking so many photo's not enough time

No Time

I haven't had any time to sit down and be creative, you see i returned to work last week after having 6 months off with baby George, but i have got a few card orders since i have been back.
but there never seems to be enough hours in the day, i have decided i need a fairy house maid so i can just get in from work and get my creative head on, as at the moment house work is all i do.
but i will post some new pictures on here soon as i have made another note book and i have loads more pencils to do so keep a look out!!!

The Obsession Begins

I went to the first Particraft work shop yesterday and wow what a day i learnt new techniques, caught up with old friends and made new friends and had a great laugh as well.

some times i think the meeting new people is one of the best things in crafting everyone is so nice and to put a face to other Partircraft demonstrators is great too!

so back to the work shop we made a fantastic Junkits Album as you can see i did alright but we did have a good teacher i had always wondered how the ring spine was removed with out bending it out of shape and that was the first ting we did. so this is were the obsession has begun after my success with my junkits album i wanted to do more on my way home from the workshop i popped into Tesco and they have some good note pads just ready to be transformed.

so here is one i did today!! its actually for my dad part of his Christmas box it is a sketch book as he draws. (lets hope he don't decide to have a look at my blog) i was really please with the out come (hope he likes it). i now have 4 more to do.

Creativity at Last

I Have finally got around to actually doing something creative, see i was away camping last week and now son number 1 is on school holidays, and to top it all off i have to go back to work on Monday after having 6 months off. so you see this is were my creativity began i was shopping for back to school stuff when i came across this!!!

it is a plain tube with water colour pencils in it and a steel at just £2:00 so i popped a couple in my shopping trolley and whet on to spend a fortune on new school uniform sorry i am babbling back to creativity so i thought that the tube was just crying out to be transformed!! so i have a little play around and this is what i come up with!!!!
I have painted the purple one with cosmic shimmer paint and stamped on the with the fancy pants stamps after a bit of trail and error they cam out pretty good i also made a tag to mach the decoration on the green tube i thought they would be really good for stocking fillers or small gifts.

Well sorry not been on here for a while have been really busy with some secret crafting you will see soon enough.
well i only have 3 more week before i return to work after having 6 months off just having time to do what i want. so will really have to start managing my time better.

I Have finally managed to put some new samples on my slide show the great scrapbook page of my brother snow boarding just wish i had taken the photo it's so good also the sample of the oriental Lady thanks to Lynne for shearing her stamps when i did training with her i was then able to do this one (i do like Distress Inks they are so useful) and last but not least this is my little one George just had to show you this page.

Well i have not updated this for ages Bad Lynsay!! but i have been very busy first of all i have been on holiday to Yorkshire what a beautiful place, took loads of photo' s so watch this space for some new scrapbook pages. The photo to the left is Scarbrough.
I have then trained Lynne we had a great afternoon swapping ideas and chatting like old friends her cards really are sensational.
i have also managed to make some new sample cards and will get them on here tomorrow, i will also TRY and keep my blog updated Promise!!!!

Busy Busy Busy

Well i done my first party on saturday, a teenage birthday party for 9 girls.
we made 1 card and a Mini scrap book it went well always good to introduce new people to craft,
as you can see from the photos i made them all a party bag with their name on i had so much fun making them not sure who was lookiong forward to it more me or the birthday girl.
Then i made them all a Anti-static bag i just went machine happy.
i have my next party tomorrow will let you know how i get on.

I got to spend the whole of sunday making card samples, using all the products in my kit,
and had some great ideas.

i managed to get the paper bags i was looking for, to make my partie bags for saturdays birthday party. once i have done it is will put some photos on here for every one to see.

At the moment i have a birthday party booked for next weekend, 9 teenage girls we will be making a mini scrap book and a card from the parti craft catalogue Asian Winter, so today i will be getting all the party bags ready (all the materials the girls need to make the scrap book and card) and finishing my samples for the girls to look at, i will let you all know how it goes.
